Blog Post #7 - Main villain analysis
In my film, there will be a main villain which is the robber that robs the house in the film. The robber will go by the initials D.L in order to hide his real name and identity. D.L will be shown throughout the film in an all black outfit with a mask to cover his face. This was my outfit choice for D.L because that is the stereotypical outfit of criminals. The backstory of D.L is that he is one of the best criminals that has not been caught by the police because of his mastermind criminal skills. My opening scene will showcase D.L by showing him robbing a house of valuable items and treating this robbery like it was an easy task. At the end of the opening scene, D.L will leave the crime scene thinking that he will never get caught but we are then shown the hero looking out of his window. This shows the audience that the hero will try to take down D.L. This also shows the audience that the hero will cause D.L some trouble.

A criminal in a relatively dark area, from https://eachother.org.uk/shadows-stereotypes-perpetuate-crime/ |
At the start of the film D.L will be shown in a car with his partner in crime. D.L and the other character in the car have been partners in crime ever since D.L started committing crimes. D.L's partner plays a role in the opening scene because his partner is the one who drives him to the house and drives him away from the house after he is done robbing the house. In my opening scene there will be a mistake that D.L makes which causes the hero of the story to realize that something unusual is happening. D.L will brush it off like nothing happened, not aware that the hero of the story is aware that something is happening in his house.
