Blog Post #14- Theme of my project

 Themes are very important in films and play a big role in the story elements of a film. The theme of a film is the message that the director wants to give to the audience. A theme to a film could be many things, for example the theme to a film could be, be careful who your trust or the theme could be something that is more general knowledge like breaking the law is bad and will result in punishment. An example of a theme in a film would be that in the movie "Sonic 3" the theme of the film was mainly that teamwork can help you accomplish a goal. This is shown by Sonic and Shadow teaming up in order to stop the Eclipse Cannon from destroying the earth. The video down below is an example from the film that shows Sonic's and Shadow's teamwork.

My project will contain multiple themes. The first theme is that being overconfident can lead to mistakes. This theme will be shown in my film by the antagonist being overconfident with his criminal skills which will then lead to the criminal making a mistake that leads to the protagonist waking up and realizing something unusual has occurred. The second theme is that performing illegal actions has consequences. This theme will be shown in my film by the protagonist wanting to stop the antagonist's actions of crime and get him arrested.
