Blog Post #20 - Decisions for costuming

When I was considering the costuming for my characters I had a couple of options. One option that I thought of doing was to make James have some sort of police officer outfit in order to show that he was a police officer that had authority to arrest D.L for his crimes. After further consideration I decided to not use this idea and to instead have James wear casual clothing that a normal person would wear. My reasoning for this is because in my film James will be shown getting out of bed and someone wouldn't usually go to bed in their police officer uniform. Another reason for the change in outfits is because instead of making James a police officer I instead decided to make James a normal person with a normal job who will want to catch D.L and after catching him will give him to the police in order for the police to arrest him for all of the crimes that D.L has committed.

As mentioned before in a previous blog post, D.L will have a full black outfit with a black mask in order to represent the stereotypical criminal outfit that most people imagine when they think of a criminal. D.L's partner in crime and driver will also wear a similar outfit to this outfit because since he is also a criminal he has to hide his identity and blend in with the time of day which will be night time in my film.
