Blog Post #24 - Briefcase prop usage in my project
As mentioned before in a previous blog post, prop money is widely used in a lot of crime films and just like other crime films my film will also be using prop money. But where will this prop money be stored? This prop money will be stored in a briefcase that will be used in my project in order to show what object James stores his valuables in. When picking a briefcase to use for my project I had two options: to either use an aluminum briefcase or use a darker leather briefcase.

When making a decision for a briefcase I thought about which one would fit my project better. Since my project will be fully filmed at night I think that the darker briefcase would fit better with the time of day. The leather briefcase also seems more casual than the aluminum one. What I mean by casual is that owning a leather briefcase seems more realistic for a normal guy to own than owning an aluminum one. After considering these benefits of the leather briefcase, I finalized my decision of picking the leather briefcase for my project.
