Blog Post #50- James waking up

While in bed, James starts to get anxious over the sound he heard earlier. He continues to worry about this sound which causes him to get out of bed and check his briefcase because he is worried someone broke into his house. After he travels to the kitchen he opens the drawer where his briefcase originally was. Once he does this he realizes his briefcase has been stolen and someone broke into his house. James, annoyed and angered by the situation says the line "Where is it?" in a tone that expresses his emotions of anger and annoyance. He then realizes his door has been left open and quickly dashes to his door to see if he can find the criminals anywhere. Below is the scene of James waking up and discovering a robbery has occurred within his home.

The scene starts with a wide shot showing James in the bed. This wide shot is used in order to show the position of James while in bed to show the audience that James was in a very vulnerable state while he was getting robbed. A tilt shot is then used from showing James in bed to showing James putting his crocs on. This shot is used to show James putting his shoes on to show the audience that James is going to start walking around in his house to find out if he has been robbed. An over the shoulder shot is used while James is looking at the drawer in order to show the audience what James is looking at and to show the audience that the briefcase is no longer in the drawer because of D.L stealing the briefcase. The shot of James looking up to his door and running towards the door is recorded in a POV shot. This shot was used in my film in order to give the audience a chance to feel like James in the film by having a first person view of what James is doing in the film.
