Blog Post #58- Foley elements being implemented into my final clip

When going over my clip of James looking out of his door at D.L and his partner driving away I realized something. The thing that I realized is the fact that this scene only has dialogue of James and doesn't have any sound of a car driving away. After realizing this I knew I had to do something in order to implement a sound that would represent D.L and his partner driving away. Below is the final clip to my project with the foley element being used within the clip.

What I did to create this sound was make a foley sound of the car driving away instead of re recording the scene with someone driving a car in the background. In order for me to do this I needed to record a car driving away in order to get the sound that I would implement into the final clip of my opening scene. What I did was I got someone to drive a car on the road and when they did this I recorded the sound of the car in order to get the foley element that I was looking for in order to insert into my project. After recording this foley element I decided to shorten the sound to the point where it would be able to fit with the clip that I wanted to add this sound to. After shortening it, I added it to the clip in order for the clip to show James looking outside saying his lines and to let the audience hear D.L and his partner driving away.
