 The crime genre has had a big impact on films but what is the history of the genre? Like other genres, the crime genre has a history that makes the crime genre what it is today.  Whenever someone is making a project, it is a good idea to create a schedule in order to make your project more planned out and organized. My project, just like many other projects will have a schedule in order to be able to have a better idea of when I should finish certain aspects of my project.  When creating a film, one of the things someone should consider is who is the target audience to their film? This is something that I considered while thinking about the process of creating my project. After researching the target audience for crime genre films I found out from www.slideshare.net  that a good estimate of the targeted audience for crime genre films would be late teens to early 30s. The crime genre also appeals to people who enjoy films about solving mysteries and enjoy the action aspects that come from cops catching criminals. All films need actors in order to act out characters. Without actors movies wouldn't be able to have any characters! For this reason I told some friends about my project and they were interested in potentially acting in my project.   Reagan This is Reagan, he requested to play the role of D.L's driver and partner in crime in the film. I decided to not pick him for this role because of his low availability to film. While he was performing his audition, he had good acting skills but the low availability to film could stall the time that it takes to complete the project.  Themes are very important in films and play a big role in the story elements of a film. The theme of a film is the message that the director wants to give to the audience. A theme to a film could be many things, for example the theme to a film could be, be careful who your trust or the theme could be something that is more general knowledge like breaking the law is bad and will result in punishment. An example of a theme in a film would be that in the movie "Sonic 3" the theme of the film was mainly that teamwork can help you accomplish a goal.  Sometimes when you watch a film you have probably wondered what the movie looks like in the characters point of view. In films there is a shot that allows the audience to see what the character is seeing in the film as if they were the character in the film. This shot is called a POV shot. A POV shot allows the audience to have a better idea of what exactly the character is looking at in the film and what the character is feeling. An example of when a director would use a POV shot is if the director wanted to show the audience a character performing a significant action that has an impact on the film.
